What is TOPTUNA?
A text-mode game created for the Dosember 2025 Game Jam by BinaryDemon.
Catch the largest TUNA you can in 10 minutes, if you beat the other Computer controlled Captains - you win!
Requirements:
CPU: 8088 or better
RAM: 640kb
VIDEO: CGA, EGA, VGA. (It’s text based so others like Hercules/MDA may work to an extent but you might get annoying blink and have missing colors)
OS: DOS 5.0 or better? or an Emulator like DosBox.
AUDIO: PC Speaker
There are additional EXEs in the zip compiled to take advantage of better
CPU instructions but no difference in gameplay.

Install instructions
EXECUTE the game from any directory/drive either in MS-DOS 5.0+ or a DOS emulator.

I recently played a Japanese Fishing Game that now retails for about $200. This was better. It really exceeded my expectations, and I'm excited to play more of it. Such a satisfying experience!

That damn Ahab got me on the first run, but managed to pull out a victory like 10 seconds before the end of second try. Very suspenseful and satisfying. Great work with the game!
